Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro flash sale event will start at 12PM today on Flipkart Big Shopping Days

Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro flash sale event will start at 12PM today on Flipkart Big Shopping Days

Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro is the successor to Redmi Note 5 Pro that brings a notched display and much improved quad camera setup.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro, the latest mid-range smartphone from India’s leading smartphone maker, will go on flash sale again at 12PM IST today. The smartphone is set to be available everyday at 12 noon during Flipkart’s Big Shopping Days sale. For those keeping counts, the Redmi Note 6 Pro is going on its seventh flash sale since launch last month. The company confirmed that it sold 6 lakh units of Redmi Note 6 Pro during the first sale, a day after its launch and in what seems unprecedented, the smartphone was offered four times via flash sale on that day.
These multiple sales during the same day and back to back flash sales suggests Xiaomi is onto making Redmi Note 6 Pro the best-seller in the country. It is also clear that the Redmi Note 6 Pro has received strong demand in the market despite it coming out just six months after the launch of Redmi Note 5 Pro. The strong demand for the smartphone can be owed to improved specifications and discounted price during the first sale.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro: Price and Offers

The Redmi Note 6 Pro comes in two storage: 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 64GB standard storage. The base model with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage is priced at Rs 13,999 while the 6GB RAM variant is priced at Rs 15,999. The price is inclusive of Rs 2,000 off from Flipkart and customers get exchange of up to Rs 13,000.
Those buying the device using HDFC Bank credit or debit card will also be able to avail 10 percent instant discount. This effectively brings the cost of Redmi Note 6 Pro down to Rs 12,599 for the 4GB RAM variant and Rs 14,399 for the 6GB RAM variant. Reliance Jio users get Rs 2,400 instant cashback with up to 6TB of additional data.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro: Specifications and Features

The Redmi Note 6 Pro sports a 6.26-inch Full HD+ display with a notch and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC. The smartphone comes with dual rear camera setup of 12-megapixel and 5-megapixel sensors. Xiaomi has updated the primary sensor with wider f/1.9 aperture, dual-pixel autofocus and larger pixels.

OnePlus will not only be the first company to launch a flagship smartphone with Snapdragon 855

Chinese versions of the slide that company CEO Pete Lau made for the announcement stated that OnePlus will be “among the first” to launch the smartphone.

Just hours after OnePlus claimed that it will be the first company to launch a flagship smartphone with Qualcomm Snapdragon 855, the company has back-tracked its statement. The company made this claim on stage at the Snapdragon Tech Summit 2018 in Hawaii and attributed this to a mistake in translation and the person who made the presentation. Something which is mind-boggling on its part considering how big and high profile the stage was. For context, the company had initially claimed that it will the first company to launch a smartphone with Qualcomm’s latest flagship SoC.
A OnePlus representative confirmed this while speaking to Engadget adding that this was because of miscommunication. To clarify, the representative added that in the Chinese versions of the slide, the company CEO Pete Lau made for the announcement stated that OnePlus will be “among the first” to launch a smartphone with the said SoC instead of the definitive “First to feature” that could be seen in the English version of the slides on the large screen behind Lau. The person who made the English slides “was not a native English speaker” according to the report.
As noted by the report, the problem runs deep as Lau confirmed that the company will be the first to launch a Snapdragon 855-equipped flagship smartphone in the market on multiple occasions during an interview. This marks a serious mistake that must have caused embarrassment for the company as well as a disappointment among the fans.
In addition to this, the company also claimed that it will be the first smartphone maker to bring a 5G-enabled smartphone to the European Market. The company has teamed up with EE, a European telecom operator.

Samsung Galaxy S10 is expected to feature a radical redesign and as many as six cameras in total.

Samsung Galaxy S10 has been spotlighted with dual rear camera system while S10+ hits the benchmark

Samsung Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+ will be the next big smartphone to launch in the flagship segment. At the ongoing Qualcomm Snapdragon Summit, US wireless carrier AT&T confirmed that it will have two 5G enabled smartphones from Samsung early next year. The announcement did hint at the launch of Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+ at Mobile World Congress in February 2019.
The Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+ are no surprise and they have leaked multiple times in the past few weeks. There are reports that Samsung is working on a total of five models under the Galaxy S10 branding codenamed “Beyond” and will be a radical from Samsung’s current flagship lineup. Since the Galaxy S10 marks 10-year anniversary for Samsug’s flagship Galaxy S lineup, its mobile president DJ Koh has predicted that these smartphones will show how it plans to reshape the smartphone industry.
Samsung Galaxy S10+ was recently leaked in the form of renders which revealed its rumored quad camera setup. The leak also shows dual in-screen camera at the front of the device. Now, we have another leak pertaining to a Galaxy S10+ that only has a dual rear camera setup.
In the past, Samsung has used different camera setup to distinguish between its smartphones. So, it is likely that we are looking at Galaxy S10+ coming out in two variants: one with quad rear camera setup and another one with dual rear camera setup. The model with dual rear camera setup will be cheaper than the variant with single rear camera setup.

The leaks so far claim that there will be a 5.8-inch model, likely to be called the Galaxy S10, will come in two forms: a flat display design and a curved model. The Galaxy S10+ could arrive in 6.2-inch and 6.44-inch display sizes with the larger display model offering 5G connectivity and a total of six cameras. The base model is expected to come with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor while the premium model will include Qualcomm-designed in-display fingerprint sensor.
Alongside this leaked image of the Galaxy S10+, the smartphone has also stopped by benchmark to reveal the guts of Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 under the hood. The benchmark suggests that Snapdragon 855 inside the Galaxy S10+ will be faster than Kirin 980 powering Mate 20 Pro and Exynos 9820 likely to be used on Galaxy S10 models in Asian markets.
